1. General information
This course has an integrating character that mobilizes the set of learning result that the student has acquired throughout his or her formative process, combining personal interests, studies and experiences achieved. Specific professional skills will be linked to it by virtue of the thematic choice and procedural choice made by the student. If there is something that defines the applied nature of this subject, it is the set of learning results specific to the degree of Agri-Food and Rural Engineering (Mention of Agricultural and Livestock Operations) that the student must deploy to plan, develop, prepare and defend their Degree Final Project (DFP).
This subject has a series of steps to follow according to the Regulations for Final Projects of the Escuela Politécnica Superior, available at the following web site ePS website.
These approaches and objectives are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda of United Nations (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/), specifically, the learning activities planned in this subject will contribute to the achievement of Goal 4: Quality Education.
2. Learning results
The student should be able to:
For this purpose, the following partial results will be demonstrated:

Adequately define the objectives of the TFG, adequately justifying its contribution to the promotion of sustainable development in any of its aspects, within the framework of the UN Agenda 2030.

Identify and locate the most significant documentary sources related to the topic chosen for the dissertation and relate them coherently with the objectives of the dissertation.

To carry out a justified work methodology that guarantees the achievement of the proposed objectives.

Structure and adequately justify the results provided in the DFP.

Correctly write the Final DFP Document including all the necessary sections or sub-documents.

Correct and structured presentation of the work.
3. Syllabus
There is no specific program given the variability of possible topics for the DFP. It is the responsibility of the director of the DFP to establish the program.
4. Academic activities
Depending on the type of DFP and the topic chosen by the student, they will carry out different activities, being able to choose from their fields, laboratory sessions or the gabinets, among other options.
In any case, there will be individualized tutoring sessions whose frequency and duration will vary depending on the type of the DFP in which the director/s will provide the necessary orientation for the realization of the DFP and will carry out its follow-up.
In relation to informational skills, training sessions will be offered, voluntary for the student, given by the EPS library staff with the aim of instructing them in the use of informational resources for the DFP. These resources are available on the UZ Library website.
The student will elaborate the DFP proposal, will develop it by carrying out all the necessary activities and will materialize all it in a written report or project that will be accompanied, if necessary, by the material deemed appropriate. The itself will contain sufficient elements of personal creation and will adequately cite all sources consulted. For last, the student will prepare the presentation and defense before the tribunal appointed for the evaluation of the DFP.
5. Assessment system
The student must make the presentation and defense of the DFP before the tribunal designated for this purpose at the place, date and time set in compliance with the regulations of the Final Project of the Escuela Politécnica Superior.
The recommended time for the presentation is 30/35 minutes, after which the examiner will be asked questions by the members of the examining board.
Assessment criteria
In accordance with ARTICLE 11. GRADING, of the Final Project Regulations of the Escuela Politécnica Superior. This teaching guide establishes the guidelines on the methodology and evaluation criteria for the TFE, which are specified below.
Each member of the tribunal will evaluate the DFP according to the following evaluation rubric:

*Plagiarism, understood as the presentation of a work or work done by another person as one's own or the copying of texts without citing their source and giving them as one's own elaboration, will automatically lead to a numerical grade of zero, without prejudice to the disciplinary or legal responsibilities that the student or students who plagiarize may incur. Art. 14.3 of the Texto Refundido del Texto Refundido del Reglamento de los trabajos de fin de grado y de fin de máster en la Universidad de Zaragoza, Each member of the examining board will issue a numerical grade between 0 and 10 for each of the three previous sections in the grade report, which must be weighted to obtain the average grade of each member of the examining board. The average grade minimum required for each section will be 5.0. The final grade will be the result of the weighted average of the scores awarded by the members of the selection board.
The evaluation rubric, once completed by the panel, will be included in the student's file. In case of complaint, you can request a consultation.
Formal characteristics of the final thesis report
The layout of the report shall meet minimum criteria of homogeneous presentation according to the following structure:
1. Cover according to EPS standards
2. Abstract- (in Spanish) Summarize the key ideas of the paper (between 100 and 200 words)
3. Keywords: at least 3 keywords associated with the work.
4. Abstract- (in English) Translate abstract into English (between 100 and 200 words)
5. Keywords: minimum 3 keywords in English.
6. Page setup:
The page specifications for the entire document are:
- Margins: For double-sided printing: top and bottom 2.5 cm; symmetrical margins Inside 3 cm; outside 2.5 cm; header and footer: 1.25 cm. For single-sided printing: top and bottom 2.5 cm; left 3 cm; right 2.5 cm; header and footer: 1.25 cm.
- Orientation: Vertical
- Paper size: DIN A4
7. Body of the work:
The body of the document will follow the following specifications:
- In the text it is recommended to use Arial 11 font, paragraphs should be justified, with spacing 6 stitches before and 3 stitches after and with a first line indentation of 1.25.
- Spacing: 1.5 lines.
